“The act on green energy is the most lobbyist one,” Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov said during his visit to the coastal city of Burgas, Radio FOCUS – Burgas reported.
Borisov commented on the news that electricity price in Bulgaria will increase by 13% as of July 1, 2012 instead of the initially forecasted 10%. The prime minister remarked that the price hike is due to this lobbyist green energy act.
“The most lobbyist act in Bulgaria was adopted in 2007 thanks to the former tripartite coalition. Now we are paying the price of this electricity, despite that we managed to cut the prices twice. If we hadn’t done so, the price would have gone 40% higher,” Borisov said.
