CALSEIA Applauds California Gov. Brown For Backing New Solar Law With Signing Statement

The California Solar Energy Industry Association (CALSEIA) was quick to applaud Gov. Jerry Brown for signing into law legislation that he expects will protect existing solar customers while continuing to encourage more consumers to invest in rooftop solar through continued robust incentives for renewable energy.

The legislation, AB 327 (Perea), began life as a rate-reform bill and evolved into what has been described as one of the largest solar energy bills in the state's history. It was the subject of much wrangling between solar sector advocates and the state's public electric utilities.

Cleantech Law Partners Publishes Assessment Of Solar Legislation In US

Renewable energy law firm publishes article that suggests how the US can transform the growing number of solar laws into more clean energy

Cleantech Law Partners (CLP), a full-service law firm dedicated exclusively to the legal and policy needs of the renewable energy industry, published an article today entitled, "Transforming Solar Laws into more Clean Energy".  The article is featured in the July/August edition of North American Clean Energy and explores the US states with the most progressive renewable energy regulations and incentive programs. The article suggests that the substantive quality of the legislation is more effective in generating clean energy than the sheer number of laws enacted.

Cleantech Law Partners also announced today that they will be exhibiting during the Intersolar North America conference in San Francisco. The event will take place at the Moscone Center, July 9-11, 2013.
